If you are a dentist, are in the process of having your foreign professional qualification recognized and intend to take an examination to prove your professional language skills, then this type of course is just right for you.

You are an immigrant with a first language other than German and:

have completed a degree in dentistry in your home country

aspire to work as a dentist in Germany

intend to apply to the relevant state authorities for a license to practice medicine as part of the recognition of your profession

Course Content

The special module “Academic Healthcare Professions” teaches general and specialist language skills in a dental context, i.e. using topics that are particularly relevant to the areas of dentist/dentist communication, dentist/patient communication, team communication and written documentation.

Specific course content includes, for example:

taking a patient's medical history (taking a medical history)

presenting patients and their medical history both orally and in writing using medical terminology (written and oral communication with colleagues)

making diagnoses (physical examination, laboratory tests, instrumental examinations) and explaining them to patient

recommending and justifying therapies and using German terms and medical vocabulary as appropriate to the situation.

Our Teaching Concept

Our face-to-face courses in dentistry are based on a comprehensive curriculum, which we have repeatedly adapted over the years to meet the current challenges of the dental profession. We use specially developed teaching materials to ensure individual and targeted learning.

The courses conclude with the prescribed Fachsprachenprüfung of your responsible state dental association, for which you will be intensively prepared here.

Reviews

Mimi:

I am a dentist and I recommend you the best school in Nuremberg. Mrs. W. and Mrs. S. are the best teachers and they helped me to pass my professional language exam 🙂 thank you Mask Zentrum.

Marina:

These classes have not only prepared me for the specialized language exam, but have also helped me in my work. I came to these courses to prepare for an FSP, but I got much more than I expected. The courses not only helped me to pass the exam, but also expanded my knowledge of dentistry. Ms. H. and Ms. W. presented the material in a very understandable and systematic way, which allowed me to grasp new grammar new words and prepare for the exam with confidence. Thanks to these courses, I not only achieved my goal, but also gained valuable knowledge that will be useful to me in the future. I can recommend these courses to anyone who is looking not only to succeed in the exam but also to broaden their professional horizons. I will miss this course.

Oana:

I am VERY satisfied with the academy. Before this course I couldn't understand a textbook and couldn't express my opinion about dentistry at all, now I can. My grammar and language skills have improved. The teachers were always very respectful and patient with our questions. Everything in class was handled very well pedagogically. It was the perfect mix with Mrs. H. and Mrs. W., because with Mrs. W. I improved my grammar and my language needs and with Mrs. H. we were able to clarify and practice in detail all those questions that are necessary for our exam. The days with Ms. B. were also always pleasant and very good. You have the perfect combination of grammar and subject knowledge. I am very, very grateful, but I can't put it into words. When you are new to a country and immediately meet such nice teachers, I feel that I was lucky. I will always be grateful for all your knowledge and willingness to teach.
