If you are a pharmacist, are in the process of having your foreign professional qualification recognized and intend to take an examination to prove your professional language skills, then this type of course is just right for you.
Participation Requirements
You are an immigrant with a first language other than German and:
have completed a degree in pharmacy in your home country
have a certificate of general or subject-specific German language proficiency at language level B2
aspire to work as a pharmacist in Germany
intend to apply to the relevant state authorities for a license to practice medicine as part of the recognition of your profession
Course Content
The special module “Academic Healthcare Professions” teaches general and specialist language skills in a pharmaceutical context, i.e. using topics that are particularly relevant to the areas of pharmacist/pharmacist communication, pharmacist/customer communication, team communication and written documentation.
Specific course content includes, for example:
informing customers and relatives about the composition, use, effects, side effects and storage of medicines
advising and exchanging information with other pharmacists or specialist staff from other professional groups (written and verbal communication with colleagues)
as well as using German terms and medical vocabulary as appropriate to the situation
Small courses (5-12 participants) are formed for each professional group.
Our Teaching Concept
Our face-to-face courses in pharmacy are based on a comprehensive curriculum, which we have repeatedly adapted over the years to meet the current challenges of the pharmaceutical profession. We use specially developed teaching materials to ensure individual and targeted learning.
The courses conclude with the prescribed Fachsprachenprüfung of your responsible state chamber of pharmacists, for which you will be intensively prepared here.

Certified language lecturers
Our colleagues have extensive knowledge in the teaching of pharmaceutical terminology and some have already worked in pharmacies themselves.
Specialized lecturers with practical experience
We employ practicing pharmacists with many years of professional experience to supplement our teaching. Our specialist lecturers provide participants with authentic insights into the German way of working and prepare them intensively for the Fachsprachenprüfung and the complex communicative requirements of everyday pharmaceutical work in conversation simulations.
